My husband and I live in Western Kentucky with our precious furbaby, Honey Bear. We met in college (2002) and I knew the first time I laid eyes on him that he would be the man I would marry. Sure enough, on December 16, 2006 we were married in the chapel of our Alma Mater. We both work full time, my husband is a middle school teacher and I work with “at-risk”, abused, and neglected children.
I owe my passion for saving and spending wisely to my mom. She has taught me everything there is to know about leading a financially responsible life. Because of this I was able to purchase my first home at the age of 24 (with 20% down). I am also fortunate to be able to say that with the exception of our mortgage my husband and I have never been in debt. It is our goal to honor God with our lives and our finances.
