New to Thrifty Tip Tuesday? Start Here.

I just want to take a moment and thank y’all for participating in Thrifty Tip Tuesday each week. I really enjoy making my rounds to each Thrifty Tip blog post. So, keep those posts coming! And if you haven’t joined in the fun yet, why not? Your tip doesn’t have to be earth shattering-often times the most simple tips are the most useful!

Now, onto some exciting news:

I reached my goal of saving $15,000 for my next car!!

This day has been a long time coming! It is an amazing feeling to have that money set aside!

How did I do it? I set my goal and put every extra cent I could find towards it! As we all know, saving money doesn’t happen overnight. Saving requires sacrifice, commitment, perseverance and planning!

My Thrifty Tip: Make an intentional choice to save towards a goal. Have a number in mind. Make a plan to reach your goal (i.e. establish a budget, cut unnecessary expenses, coupon! etc). Revisit your goal frequently and review your progress. Set a realistic deadline to meet your goal. Share your goal with others (this will help keep you accountable)!

What is your goal?

What are you doing to reach that goal?
