Just checking in from Breckenridge, CO at the Savvy Blogging Conference. I wanted to share some pictures of the beautiful Colorado mountains. Did you know that Breckenridge is 9600 ft above sea level?!
Yesterday, I experienced an annoying headache and the feeling of the hotel swaying beneath me. Oh, and talk about getting out of breath!! Because of the altitude, the air is thinner, making it more difficult to breathe. I thought I was going to need an inhaler after climbing two flights of stairs (and no, I’m not THAT out of shape!)
Have you ever exprienced altitude sickness? How did you get through it?

Gorgeous! Glad to know you are enjoying every minute of it! Hopefully next year I can attend!!
Proud of you Jamie, and praying you feel better soon. Have fun!
It was nice meeting you at dinner tonight! Love the pictures…and you're not the only one. I couldn't breathe for about 5 minutes after going up 3 flights of stairs :-).
It was so nice meeting you too and thank you for all your helpful advice at dinner!
Jamie,
I think even the most physically fit people have an adjustment period when traveling to higher elevations. My husband works out and is in very good shape and tells me the same thing when he goes to Colorado on business trips. He gets used to it after a few days but then it's time to come home. Enjoy the beautiful scenery!
Kathy, That's good to know! It's a terrible feeling not being able to catch your breath! I feel lucky that I only exprienced minor symptoms, a few here got pretty sick. :( It is definitely beautiful here!
