Heat wave anyone?  I don’t know about you, but in my neck of the woods it has been Hot, and I’m not talking about your typical summertime hot, I’m talking fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk HOT!

For those of you who don’t know, I’m also pregnant, so I am constantly looking for ways to beat the heat!  As luck would have it, I was recently contacted by Jockey and asked if I would like to participate in sampling their Jockey Stay Cool Collection! Uh Yes, please!!

The Jockey® staycool collection is developed with Outlast® technology to help your skin feel up to 3° cooler. 3° can be the difference between too hot and just right.  These garments help cool the micro-climate surrounding your skin to maintain your ideal skin temperature.

Jockey was awesome enough to send me AND my hubby the entire staycool collection!  Here I am sporting the Jockey® staycool Reversible T-shirt

jockeystaycool

(Me, 28 weeks pregnant in my Stay Cool Jockey tee!)

I LOVE this shirt… L-O-V-E it!  The fit on this shirt is AWESOME and totally flattering (even at 28 weeks pregnant!).  I adore the longer sleeves on this shirt which help camouflage my jiggly arms!  This shirt can also been worn as a crew neck tee.

I know what you’re thinking, a black shirt that’s suppose to keep you cool? I was skeptical too.  Last week I wore this outfit to the office {along with my Jockey staycool undies).  Normally I’m the one that is always turning down the thermostat at the office.  I’m sorry, but 74 degrees is way too hot for this preggo!  I’m much more comfortable at 70 degrees or below.  Well the day I wore this outfit to the office I wasn’t tempted to mess with the thermostat all day!  As for the undies, what can I say, Jockey undies are my favorite.  They are comfy, fit well, and don’t roll up under my belly!

Here’s a picture of my husband sporting his Jockey® staycool Crew T-shirt.

Micah faithfully walks our two pups every evening and lately the temperatures have been hot even into the night. I suggested that he wear his Jockey staycool shirt during his walks to see if helped keep him cool. After a nightly walk, Micah reported back that the t-shirt was very comfortable, didn’t stick to him in the heat, and that he felt like it did keep him slightly cooler then his other t-shirts.

Now you can have a chance to win your very own piece of the Jockey staycool collection!

WIN IT!

Three (3) lucky readers will win a coupon code valid for one (1) top and one (1) bottom style of Jockey staycool products.

Seneca_Breakfast_cropped-LR

I like to sleep in as long as possible, which usually means I’m scrambling around looking for a quick breakfast to down before heading off to work.  Of course, I try to consider the most healthy breakfast options first and oatmeal has always been one of my top breakfast choices.

Did you know that
-*Nearly 60% of U.S. parents of children ages 3-17 admit that their child skips breakfast, with more than half of U.S. Moms wishing their child ate a more nutritious breakfast.

-58% of U.S. Moms say they skip breakfast regularly.

-46% of Moms who skip breakfast say they do so because they do not have enough time to prepare or eat it.

-57% of single adults say the number one reason they skip breakfast is that they don’t have enough time to prepare it.

-While 71% of U.S. adults agree that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, 67% of those admit to skipping breakfast.

*Results of 2011 Children’s Nutrition Survey, conducted by Harris Interactive for Seneca Farms

I was recently given the opportunity to try the new Seneca Farms Oatmeal and Fruit Bowls.  What’s awesome about these Oatmeal and Fruit Bowls is that they only require 45 seconds in the microwave! They are currently available in two flavors- Apple Cinnamon and Vanilla Peach {with Cranberry Apple & Maple & Brown Sugar soon to come!}.

So what did I think after trying them?  Yum!  Loved both flavors!  I honestly didn’t have high expectations for these oatmeal bowls.  I’ve microwaved oatmeal before and found it less than appealing {I’m a boil the water, then add the oatmeal kind of girl}! However, I found the texture and taste of the oatmeal to be quite tasty!  I especially loved the REAL chunks of peaches and apples!  I also love that it comes in an easy to travel with bowl. These would be great to pack on vacations for an easy hotel room breakfast.

Seneca’s Oatmeal & Fruit has no trans fats or cholesterol, and is a great source of Vitamin C.  Seneca Farms Oatmeal & Fruit can be found nationally at Walmart and at a wide variety of retail grocery stores.

WIN IT!

One reader will win a 2-pack of each flavor of Seneca Farms Oatmeal & Fruit!
