At Kroger this week (and probably next week too) the Garden of Eatin’ chips are included in the Buy 10, get $5 off your order promotion.  When you buy 10 participating products the chips are $1.49 each. Keep an eye out of $1.00 Garden of Eatin’ peelie coupons (right on the bag!). There’s also a $1.00 Garden of Eatin’ printable coupon available.  I was able to get 10 bags for $0.49 each- a grand total of just $4.90!   That’s a great deal on natural/organic tortilla chips!

Kroger Shopping Trip 1/22/11

by Jamie on January 22, 2011

IMG_0953

This year I decided that it would be in out best interest to increase our grocery budget from $80 a month to $150 a month in order to incorporate more organic/whole foods in our diet.   I’m pretty sure we’re over that this month… but hopefully when we get all the staples in place we’ll be able to stay within the budget. :)

Kroger
1-Bag of baby carrots- $1.00
1-Broccoli Bunch- $2.51
1-Head of Cauliflower- $3.29
1-Bag of Organic Granny Smith Apples- $4.49
1-Bunch of Bananas- $1.32 ($.49 lb)

2-Cans of Organic Black Beans- $0.89 each
1-Kroger Sour Cream – $1.00
2- Hidden Valley Organic Ranch Dressing- $2.91 each
1- Bag of Kraft Cheese- $1.99
1- Kroger Organic Vanilla Yogurt- $2.89
1- Bag of Boulder Chips- $1.50*

2- Minute Maid OJ- $2.38 each;
used BOGO Minute Maid  Facebook coupon (no longer available)- $2.38/2

1-Stonyfield Plain Yogurt- $3.89; used $1.50/1 Stonyfield Yogurt= $2.39

Total = $32.35; used gift card –$10.11; out of pocket- $22.24

*The Boulder Chips were totally an impulse buy- I love anything vinegar (I’m weird I know!)- but when I got home I realized that the chips actually expired in Dec! I’m just going to return them and get my money back- I really shouldn’t be eating chips anyway!
