The SCR booklet contains a listing of products that offer rebates when you buy a particular item. When you purchase items in the SCR Directory you will earn a cash-back rebate {aka Single Check Rebate}.
The offer period for each rebate may differ! It is important to pay attention to the rebate dates as some rebates are good on certain weeks ONLY. It’s also important to note that the monthly rebate period doesn’t always start on the 1st and end on the 30th of every month. Most rebates are limited to ONE rebate per product/offer.
Where can I get a Rebate Directory? You can find the SCR Directory booklet in a display next to the weekly ad. The booklet can also be viewed online.
How Do I Submit My Rebates ?
1) Register online and create a SCR account. {Rebates can be submitted via snail mail & instructions on how to do this is located in the SCR Directory.}
2) Submit your rebate by logging in to your SCR account. Select Enter Your Receipts. You’ll be prompted to enter your receipt information so have it handy. Note: It can take up to 5 days for your receipt information to process and your rebate it applied.
3) At the end of the month you’ll want to Request Your Check. You will receive a paper check in the mail in 2-3 weeks. NOTE: Your Single Check Rebate (SCR) Check can be requested ONCE per month. In other words, wait till the end of the month to request your check so you don’t miss out on any SCR deals that pop up throughout the month.
I highly recommended entering your receipt on the same day you make your purchase. I’ve been guilty of misplacing receipts a time or two (or three) and that’s just not any fun! By the way, you’re rebate check will not arrive in an envelope. Instead, your check will arrive as a postcard for the whole world to see. :) Don’t worry though, I haven’t had any issue with receiving my check in the mail.
So what’s so great about Rite Aid’s SCR Program? Single Check Rebate items can easily turn into moneymakers when combined with manufacturer coupons! Often times Rite Aid will advertise these “freebates” in their weekly ad!
For example: Let’s say Dove Bodywash is on sale for $4.00 with a SCR of $4.00 and you have a coupon for $1.50 off Dove Bodywash. At the register you use your coupon and pay $2.50 (+tax) out of pocket. When you get home, you submit your receipt for a $4.00 Single Check Rebate, making you a $1.50 profit!
Rite Aid also allows customers to “stack” manufacturer coupons with Rite Aid store coupons. All Rite Aid store coupons begin with “RC.” Rite Aid coupons can be found in the weekly ad and printable Rite Aid coupons can be earned by watching Rite Aid Video Values.
Another way to make a profit is to utilize money off coupons {like a $5 off a $25 purchase} when purchasing your rebate items. For example: Let’s say you purchase $25 worth of items that are all free after rebate, you use $10 in manufacturer coupons, and you have a $5/$25 purchase. When it’s all said and done you end up making a $15 profit!
